Senior Brand Manager

The Business

Sara Lee is a global manufacturer of high quality, brand name products. They have a wide offering of brands, with many being market leaders in their respective markets. They have a number of well known, household brands including Douwe Egberts, Sanex and Radox. We have worked on a number of placements for the business since 2005 and continue to build a strong understanding of the organisation.

The Role

They were looking for a Senior Brand Manager to work on the Café Switch brand. This was an important role for the business as the brand was relatively new to the market and so they needed somebody with strong ownership skills. In addition the successful candidate would need to have a good working understanding of media agencies and strong NPD experience. They also needed to work well in an organisation with a relatively flat structure.

The Solution

It was decided that a database search would be the best route to take for this particular position. This required the consultant to search the sevenhr database for candidates at the correct level in target organisations. In addition, contacts were highlighted within target businesses that could be networked to recommend suitable candidates.
From this, in depth interviews were held with short listed candidates in order to gain a good understanding of their background, skill set and motivations for making a move. Two candidates were seen as good matches for the business and were put forward for interview. After a three stage interview process, the candidate was offered and accepted the role.
