The interview with Ruth was very comprehensive, instructions for the day of the interview with Liberty were very clear. I was impressed that before and after the interview, you always forwarded me articles related to Liberty.
I felt that sevenhr was very attentive and communicative at all stages.
Sevenhr seems to be more personal, not pushy and less like dealing with sales people which gives you confidence. I have recommended you to several friends as a result.
Successful Candidate
Liberty’s department store, London, is synonymous with luxury, value and beautifully designed products, standing within an iconic Tudor building.
Initially Liberty’s were looking for somebody to join as a Senior Merchandiser for clothing, however due to internal changes this was changed to homeware. The structure within Liberty’s is different to many businesses and so a lot of time was taken to match the seniority required from the successful candidate, with the right salary level.
They were looking for somebody with a background in a large organisation who had the training, exposure and understanding to excel in the role. Homewares experience was beneficial however was not a necessity. The candidates needed to be confident and comfortable dealing with senior people as the role would involve presenting to the board.
We had originally placed a Merchandiser with the business a couple of years ago. She spoke in detail with the business to gain an understanding of the changes which had occurred since the first placement and what they expected from the successful candidate.
We began to undertake a search to find a Senior Merchandiser for clothing however, this changed to home after the search commenced.
The sevenhr database was searched for suitable candidates and also for contacts that could be networked to recommend people for the role. In addition a confidential advert was ran on the sevenhr website to again attract further people. An information pack based on the business was also produced, as many people spoken to were nervous regarding the technical level which they believed the role would demand. This meant that time was spent influencing and educating people regarding the role and the business.
We found three suitable candidates for the business, with the successful applicant being offered after just one stage.
