Tulip Ltd is a £1billion meat processing organisation, dedicated to serving the UK foodservice market. We have been part of their Preferred Supplier List since 2004 and have registered 74 vacancies across the group since then.
Time has been taken to visit sites and meet key personnel in order to fully understand what the business stands for and the culture Tulip.
A new role had been outlined to head up the development of an NPD department. They wanted somebody with good retail interaction and a proven track record of developing NPD departments, they also needed to be used to managing and developing teams
Due to the specific requirements for the role the assignment was undertaken on a retained basis. This meant that an advert was produced by the consultant and ran in The Grocer industry magazine and a head hunt campaign also ran alongside this to find the exceptional candidates.
The volume of candidates approached meant that a strong shortlist could be produced after consultant interviews in line with the role. CV’s and further information including full salary expectations were then sent to the business.
From this, two candidates were taken to second stage, with an offer made directly after the interviews.
